System Overview

Drainage Performance

StormPaveâ„¢ combines a permeable resin bound surface with an engineered base structure to allow water to pass through the system and into the ground below. This approach enables drainage at source while maintaining a strong and stable surface suitable for everyday use.

Applications

StormPaveâ„¢ is suitable for a range of applications where effective drainage and a high-quality finish are required. Residential driveways Patios and external spaces Housing developments Pathways and landscaped areas

The StormPave system features a high-porosity surface and a calibrated stone sub-base that infiltrates water directly into the natural ground, eliminating surface runoff even during extreme weather events. This engineered approach prevents common issues like pooling and localized urban flooding.

Permeable Resin Bound vs Resin Bonded

StormPaveâ„¢ is a permeable resin bound system, which differs significantly from resin bonded surfaces. Resin bonded systems are applied onto a solid base and do not allow water to pass through, meaning surface water continues to run off. StormPaveâ„¢ is designed to allow water to pass through the surface and into the ground below, making it a more effective solution for managing drainage at source.

What maintenance is required for a permeable system?

Maintenance is minimal. Occasional vacuuming of the surface or gentle power washing can prevent debris from clogging the voids. We provide a comprehensive long-term care guide with every project to ensure the percolation rate remains optimal for decades.

Does it comply with SUDS regulations?

StormPave is designed specifically for full SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) compliance. By managing water at the source, it reduces the burden on public sewers, often removing the need for planning permission for most domestic driveway applications.
